Endurance Restoration Gravestone & Monument Cleaner - 1 Gallon

Works to clean and remove staining caused by atmospheric pollution and biological growth including mold, lichen, moss, algae, mildew, etc.

ENDURANCE GRAVESTONE MONUMENT CLEANER is ready-to-use; No dilution is required. Apply with a squeeze trigger or pump sprayer directly to the surface. Ideal and safe for use on stone and masonry surfaces, including limestone, marble, granite, slate, cement, etc. Also effective for use on vinyl, wood, roofing, siding, awnings, and more. Use in temperatures above freezing (>32°F).

Cleaning Methods

Application Only – Highly effective for all stone and masonry. No brushing or rinsing required; rain provides natural rinsing. Recommended for fragile or eroded stones.

  1. Saturate stone from top to bottom with Gravestone & Monument Cleaner.
  2. Cleaner percolates deeply under the surface for long-term effects.
  3. Water reactivates cleaning action, from rain, dew, or misting.

Application, Brushing, and Rinsing – Suitable for stable stones, especially modern granite monuments.

  1. Saturate stone with cleaner. Let dwell on surface for 15 minutes
  2. Remove loose lichen with a soft plastic scraper, if needed.
  3. Lightly brush with soft-bristle brushes. Mist with water to keep surface wet while brushing.
  4. Rinse thoroughly with potable water.

Coverage: Ranges from approximately 200-400 sq ft/gal
(Coverage will vary depending on the porosity of the surface)

Important Note:

  • Thoroughly saturate surrounding grass and plants with water to minimize absorption and provide protection from cleaner.
  • The stone may temporarily change colors, most commonly orange, red, or black. This is called the blushing effect. The discoloration will fade within a few days without rinsing and is not harmful to the stone.

  • Do you have to rinse this product or can you spray and walk away

    You can absolutely spray and walk away. There are two application methods, and we highly recommend the spray and walk away method especially on more fragile or deteriorating stones. The product is designed to work over time, so no matter which application you go with, the stone will clean over the next days and weeks to come. You do want to rinse with the other application, which is spray, wait 10-15 minutes and then scrub with a soft bristle brush. Once scrubbing is finished, rinse thoroughly with clean water.

  • Since D2 is no longer on your website what is the comparison to it, other than cheaper?

    It is based on similar quaternary ammonium compounds and surfactants and in alignment with the NCPPT study on gravestone cleaners. It has a higher efficacy so we have found quicker initial blushing of biological staining and continues to clean over time for more resistant biological staining.
