Wooden Tar
Ottosson Färgmakeri Wooden Tar - 1 Liter
Wooden tar can be used on wood that has previously been treated with wood tar, iron vitriol and sludge paint as well as on untreated wood such as wood paneling, façade timber, wooden roofs, fences, bridges, wooden boats etc. as well as for veterinary, but especially pharmaceutical purposes. Includes in shampoos, soaps and in ointments for allergic rashes, psoriasis, eczema etc.
Genuine Wood tar is relatively viscous to the consistency but can become more lightweight and penetrating if heated e.g. in water bath to about 50-70 degrees or mixed with balsamic turpentine. You can also dilute the tar with raw or cooked linseed oil to make the product more drying.
Do not apply too thick layers as there is a risk of crackling and “bleeding” in hot weather.
Paint with a brush. Can also be sprayed after heating or dilution.
