PolyLoc - Poly-Vinyl Acetate Bonding Agent or Admixture
PolyLoc - Poly-Vinyl Acetate Bonding Agent or Admixture
1 Gallon
Improves the adhesions between cementitious products and difficult to bond to substrates. Also, PolyLoc may be used as an admixture to improve performance of approved products.
Coverage:
Approximately 200 square feet - 300 square feet per gallon as a bonder
*Coverage may vary due to ambient temperature, surface temperature, surface porosity, and/or application methods.
Color:
White Liquid - Dries Clear
Surface Prep:
Surface intended to receive application must be clean and free of debris, dust, dirt, efflorescence, grease, oils, curing agents, and cleaning solutions.
Glossy surfaces must be roughened to ensure a proper bond.
Application:
Use as a Bonder
1. Prep area before use
2. Add PolyLoc with the thickness of a paint-like coating using a sprayer. brush, or roller to the surface when the surface is dry or damp (not wet)
3. Protect film from inclement weather conditions until application of finish
4. Apply the desired finish when PolyLoc is tacky or dry to the touch. Fast set mortars must be applied while bonder is tacky, not dry
Application of finish may occur as soon as PolyLoc becomes tacky, or up to 10 days after application of PolyLoc
Use as admixture
1. Properly mix the cemetitious product per the appropriate product data sheet
2. Add PolyLoc to mix per the table
*More bonder may be used when increased perofmrance is required*
3. Mix product mixture slowly after adding PolyLoc to acieve an even consistency. DO NOT overmix
