Directions For Use on Granite Cemetery Monuments:

Attach a squeeze trigger sprayer to the quart container, or pour into a trigger sprayer with a funnel. Spray directly onto monument from top to bottom making the stone completely wet with cleaner, or pour a small amount in a non-metallic dish or tray. Apply with a tampico fiber brush or pad applicator.

Watch for foaming action (which occurs from the reaction with lime scale). Allow to dwell on the granite surfaces for at least a few minutes or longer as needed. Brush in orbital and or random motions with a soft bristle tampico cleaning brush. Rinse well with potable water. If polished surfaces are not fully cleaned, rub with CleanStone glass block as needed. If unpolished or rock pitched surfaces are not fully cleaned, apply a second coat of the cleaner and repeat the brushing and rinsing process.

Directions For Use on Brick, Unpolished Stone, Unpolished Clay Tiles, etc.

Apply to stone or masonry surface in the same manner as above. Keep the entire surface wet with cleaner while brushing and then rinse well with potable water. On large vertical surfaces such as multiple story buildings, be sure to brush and rinse from the bottom upwards in smaller sections, (Cleaning from the bottom up will avoid possible etching of stone, or deeply imbedding staining).

For very porous bricks and clay tiles, wet surface with water before applying Hardwater Stain Remover. Rinse with detergent-free ammonia (1/4 cup to 2 gallons water) after cleaning. Scrubbing is not necessary, just allow cleaner to dwell on the surface for a few moments for cleaner to react, then rinse with water. Allow to completely dry before the option of treating surfaces with oil, sealers or paint.

Directions For Use on Glazed Tiles:

Apply with a tampico fiber brush or pad applicator. Allow the chemical to dwell on the surface for less than 10 seconds, then flush with warm soapy water. Do not rub glazed surfaces or permit fluid to stand on the surfaces for a long period of time to avoid possible etching of glazing.

Warning: Do not use on carbonate stones including: limestone, marble, travertine, etc. Wear safety glasses and nitrile gloves, protect exposed skin, wear a respirator when used in enclosed areas. Always test in small inconspicuous areas or on a test stone or panel.
